Certification
SAP customers of significant size are contractually obliged to have their CCC's certified by SAP. This requires specific processes and controls to be embedded in the SAP CCC. Once in place, SAP assesses the site-readiness and either declares the CCC to be SAP-certified, or not.
Apart from this, there are various quick wins to be had as well as pitfalls that can be avoided in setting up the above.
There are also various processes, outputs and roles to be implemented in the SAP CCC organisational structure to ensure the successful and sustained operation of the SAP CCC. These processes, outputs and roles are not necessarily required by SAP to achieve certification, but should be an integral part of the SAP CCC structure to achieve the highest level of operation and sustainability.
Many SAP customers achieve SAP CCC certification but lose sight of the fact that this is only valid for a period of 2 years, after which re-certification is required.
